Founders Notes -

The founding members of the club were Jorge Godinez, Erick Vasquez, Bernard Li, and Carson Rayner back in 2019, as ex. AIAA Drone Club leadership.

The club was founded by people who wanted a more fun organization, wanted more hands-on experience, but lower time commitment. As a result, they broke away from other organizations and created their own club called University Drone Pilots. In 2022, the club rebranded itself as University Robotics Club by merging with IEEE Robotics Club, to become a singular unified club.
