Our mission is the proliferation of robotics across Houston.

Robotics @UH expands University Drone Pilots and many other student organization's robotics teams into a single, unified Registered Student Organization. We compete in the Houston Area Combat Robotics Cup, Run workshops, and do a bunch of other things as well!

Our mission is for every student to have their own robot

Joining Robotics@UH only requires you to be an undergrad or graduate student at the University of Houston. No other requirements necessary!

Our Journey

What we do

Battlebot Teams

We compete in the Houston Area Combat Robotics Cup, with the goal of eventually competing in all weight classes. We work to manage not just 3 Battlebots teams here at UH, but 1 at HCC/UH Katy. Join now!

Workshops and Education

In addition to just tinkering and operating robots, we run workshops on everything from Drones and Kinematics to Autonomous operations. Check our calendar below to see the next workshop!

SARTEC- Search and Rescue Robotics

We assist the Swarm Robotics Lab and other research groups at the University of Houston to develop and test robots in the field. With access to the Tech Bridge forest, we train robots directly in the field.

Supported by Robotics Research Labs

The University of Houston has multiple research laboratories focused on the field of robotics, in the College of Engineering, College of Technology, NSM CS, and in Architecture. Each year, our organization plans to tour these labs to expose students to the importance of not only their studies, but their interest in the robotics field.

Swarm Robotics Laboratory at UH ECE

Dr. Aaron Becker & Dr. Julien Leclerc

The Swarm Robotics Lab at the Cullen College of Engineering's Electrical and Computer Engineering is our primary supporter, under the watch of Dr. Arron Becker. They help support our competitions, and represent our faculty advisor.

Advanced Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Control Group

Dr. Marzia Cescon

The Advanced Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Control Group, nicknamed the "Cescon Group", is a new research laboratory based out of the University of Houston, specialized in aerial robotic controls.
